Empowering Futures, Enriching Communities
About Our Foundation
The MHG Charitable Foundation was founded by Ms. Lo, a dedicated philanthropist with years of service to youth in USA/Taiwan/India and social causes, primarily through organizations like Tzu Chi. Her contributions have touched many lives, focusing on education, social welfare, and community development.
On July 26, 2025, the MHG Charitable Foundation proudly hosted its inaugural Scholarship Program and Ceremony, honoring 100 outstanding students alongside more than 300 guests, mentors, and community leaders. This historic gathering marked not only a celebration of academic achievement but also a testament to our shared commitment to empower the next generation. The event reflected the foundation’s vision to unite students, families, and supporters in a community of learning, compassion/companion, mentorship and inspiration, setting the stage for a legacy of continued growth and impact.
In January 2025, during the LA wildfires, Ms. Lo demonstrated her ongoing commitment by donating several hotel rooms for a five-day stay to families affected by the disaster, providing immediate relief to those in need.
Over the years, Ms. Lo’s passion for making a positive impact has only grown stronger. While she has continued her philanthropic work through established channels, her desire to create a more direct and lasting impact led her to establish the MHG Charitable Foundation. The foundation was born out of a vision to empower young minds through education and offer vital support to those facing hardships, including children in need of nourishment and spiritual guidance.
Guided by compassion/companion and a deep sense of responsibility, the foundation seeks to build a brighter, more inclusive future by addressing the evolving needs of the community. Our mission is to support educational growth, alleviate the challenges of personal and social hardship, and create a compassionate/companion environment where everyone can thrive.

2025 MHG Scholarship Program
The MHG Charitable Foundation Scholarship Program supports students in grades 8+ across Los Angeles, Orange County, and nearby regions who face financial hardship, educational barriers, personal challenges, or extraordinary circumstances. In its inaugural year, the program (focusing first on grades 8-12) received an overwhelming 950 student registrations, a powerful reflection of the need and enthusiasm within our community.
From this talented pool, 100 students were selected to receive awards ranging from $500 to $1,500. The July 26, 2025 Scholarship Ceremony and Luncheon brought together over 300 guests, including mentors, educators, community leaders, and families, to celebrate these scholars. The event featured inspiring performances, heartfelt student stories, and uplifting speeches that highlighted both the challenges and the potential of our next generation.
Beyond the ceremony, the Foundation remains committed to cultivating long-term connections with students—providing mentorship, leadership opportunities, and continued support as they grow. The success of this first program has laid the foundation for an annual tradition that will expand its reach and impact in the years to come.
To build on this momentum, the MHG Community has been established as a platform for ongoing engagement. Its first milestone will be the Student Council Launch Event on October 11, 2025, in Santa Ana, where students themselves will take the lead in shaping the future of the program. Through monthly and quarterly activities, the Student Council will create opportunities for collaboration, service, and leadership development—ensuring that the spirit of the Scholarship Program extends far beyond a single annual event and becomes a living tradition that grows with each new generation.
